Original vs Sure Thing Too, What It’s Really Like, and How to Plan It Right

If you’re considering Sure Thing Chapel, you’re already looking at one of the best options in Las Vegas.

As one of their preferred photo vendors on their list, I’ve had the chance to document some seriously sweet moments here, and I can confidently say these spaces are special.

This is not your typical “get in, get out” chapel.

It’s designed for couples who want something that feels:

• intentional

• relaxed

• and actually fun

And now there are two versions of it:

• Sure Thing Chapel (original)

• Sure Thing Too (right next door)

They’re similar, but they create slightly different experiences.

This guide will help you:

• choose between them

• understand how the day actually flows

• avoid the mistakes that make it feel rushed or generic

Sure Thing Chapel vs Sure Thing Too (Which One Fits You Better)

Both are on Fremont Street. Both are great.

But they don’t feel the same.

Sure Thing Chapel (Original)

• Larger space, better for bigger groups

• Iconic pink heart altar

• Feels more classic Vegas, but still modern

• Slightly more energy, more movement

👉 Best for:

• couples bringing guests

• people who want a more “Vegas” feel

• slightly louder, more social experience

Sure Thing Too

• Smaller, more intimate space

• Baby blue tones, softer aesthetic

• More curated, design-forward feel

• Feels quieter and more controlled

👉 Best for:

• just the two of you (or a very small group)

• couples who care a lot about aesthetics

• a more intimate, almost editorial feel

My honest recommendation

If you want energy + flexibility → original chapel

If you want intimacy + aesthetics → Sure Thing Too

Both work. The choice is about the feel, not quality.

What Makes Sure Thing Different From Other Vegas Chapels

Most chapels in Vegas are built for volume.

This one isn’t.

• You book a specific time slot (no chaos)

• You’re not rushed in and out

• The space is designed to actually photograph well

• You can bring your own photographer

That last part alone changes everything.

What Your Wedding Here Actually Feels Like

This is where people underestimate the experience

The best version of this day is not just:

👉 ceremony → done

It’s more like:

Simple, short, intentional.

You’re not dealing with complicated logistics.

• photobooth

• bathroom

• small details

Good, but this is just the start.

This is where it becomes something else.

Within minutes:

• neon

• vintage casinos

• bars

• movement

• randomness

👉 This transition is what makes this location special

Controlled → spontaneous → real

Ceremony Only vs Full Experience

Most People Get This Wrong

2 hours coverage (recommended)

• ceremony + Fremont exploration

• time to breathe

• more natural moments

• day into night potential

👉 This is the difference between

“we got married” and

“we actually experienced it”

1 hour coverage

• ceremony + quick photos

• works if you want something very simple

But:

👉 it will feel fast

👉 very limited variety

My recommendation if photos and experience matter:

👉 Don’t do less than 2 hours

Fremont at night:

• chaotic

• colorful

• very Vegas

Flash adds:

• energy

• contrast

• cinematic feel

Ideal timing:

👉 Ceremony 1.5–2 hours before sunset

This gives you:

• soft light

• better skin tones

• smooth transition into night

👉 Best outcome = both

Choosing Your Performer

(This Changes the Entire Tone)

This is one of the most underrated decisions

Sure Thing lets you choose different styles of ceremonies, and each one creates a completely different vibe

Couple exchanging rings during a Las Vegas chapel wedding ceremony, groom in a pink suit and bride in a sequined dress with veil, standing in front of a pastel heart-shaped backdrop with an officiant behind them

Classic Officiant

• simple

• emotional

• timeless

👉 Best if you want something grounded and personal

Lady Elvis

• iconic Vegas

• playful

• fun without going too far

👉 Good balance between fun and still meaningful

Showgirl (Surely)

• more theatrical

• very Vegas

• performance-driven

👉 Works if you want something bold and entertaining

Honest note:

If you go this route, lean into it fully.

Half-committing here can feel awkward.

Hellvis (Elvis from Hell)

• darker humor

• irreverent

• more wild than traditional

👉 This is not for everyone

My honest take on Hellvis

If you:

• want something emotional or family-focused

👉 skip it

If you:

• want personality

• don’t take the ceremony too seriously

• want something memorable and different

👉 it will be incredible

Logistics You Should Know

Before Your Sure Thing Chapel Too Elopement grab Your Marriage License

To make it legal, you’ll need a Nevada marriage license before your ceremony. You can start the process online, then pick it up at the Las Vegas Marriage License Bureau once you’re in town. It’s open every day from 8 AM to midnight, and you don’t need an appointment.

Here’s how it works:

Head to the Clark County Marriage License site and fill out the online pre-application

Once you’re in Vegas, go to the Marriage License Bureau at 201 E Clark Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89101

Bring valid ID and $102 (they take card or cash)

You’ll get your license on the spot and be ready to go

You do not need a witness to get the license, and it’s valid immediately. Just don’t forget to bring it to the chapel on the big day.

Guests

• Original → better for groups

• Too → better for intimate

Time inside

• typically 30–60 minutes depending on package

Location flow

• Fremont is walkable.

• No need to overcomplicate transportation unless

adding a second location.

Mistakes I See Couples Make Here

1. Booking too little time

They underestimate how fast everything moves.

2. Ignoring light

Midday Vegas sun is not flattering.

3. Overcomplicating the plan

Surroundings and Fremont already gives you variety

Too many locations = less experience

How I Approach This (So You Know What You’re Getting)

Most couples I work with:

• don’t know how to pose

• don’t know where to go

• don’t want it to feel staged

That’s normal.

My role is to:

• guide your timeline so nothing feels rushed

• take you through spots that actually work

• give direction when needed

• step back when the moment is real

So it doesn’t feel like: 👉 a photoshoot

It feels like: 👉 your day unfolding naturally

Is Sure Thing Chapel Right for You?

This works best if you:

• want something simple but not generic

• like Downtown Vegas energy

• want guidance without feeling controlled

• care about experience, not just ceremony

It may not be ideal if:

• you want total privacy

• you prefer nature/desert

• you’re planning a large traditional wedding

Let’s Plan Your Vegas Wedding

If you’re considering Sure Thing Chapel or Sure Thing Too and want someone who knows how to make the most of it, I’d love to help.

You don’t need everything figured out yet.
